Quick Start Manual

1. Transfer sta64.prg to real C64

- via SD-card (SD2IEC device)
- via MIDI cable (Kerberos MIDI interface)
- via USB cable (EasyFlash3 cartridge)

2. Connect MIDI keyboard/daw with cable
3. Run it
4. Midi interface (except NAMESOFT) must be detected automatically.
     The list of supported interfaces is :
     DATEL/SIEL/JMS/C-LAB
     PASSPORT/SENTECH
     SEQUENTIAL/NAMESOFT	
     HERMIDI
     VESSEL
5. Application works in 6 main modes SYNTH/ARP/PERF/SETUP/RAW_MIDI/ASID.
SYNTH - all controls applied to synth
ARP - construct sequences and mapping them over the notes range
PERF - performance (all info and real time monitoring)
SETUP - settings
RAW_MIDI - midi monitoring (w/o sound) of receive/send
ASID - play SID tunes via midi cable on real C64 using ASID protocol introduced bt Elektron SIDStation
check screen bottom to know keys to change mode

6. Press "F4" to SETUP, press "F4" second time for raw midi-in monitor
7. Try some CC/notes, look on magic bytes on screen :) If there still empty - return to setup by "<-" and select right midi-interface.
8. Press "<-" (top-left button on C64) will escape to SETUP page
9. Press "<-" (top-left button on C64) will escape to SYNTH page
10. Try to play some notes on MIDI. Now you can hear sound from C64's famous SID chip.
11. Press "+" "-" to change program (in all modes)
12. Press "F5" to "PERF" mode and use commodore keyboard as music keys.
